The Laboratory of Stratigraphic Research, Geological Map and Space Aeromethods was established in 2020 with the aim to provide quality training to the students of the Faculty of Geology (Academic degrees: Bachelor and Master of Geology) and help them master the modern methods, forms of organization and means of work in Geology; encourage the formation of  professional skills and abilities necessary for making independent decisions during specific work in real market and production conditions; encourage the systematic updating of knowledge and its application in practical activity.

The main tasks of the Laboratory are:

– providing appropriate conditions for conducting practical and laboratory classes at a high scientific, methodological, and didactic level;

providing assistance to the students of the Faculty of Geology in the work on their course papers, bachelor’s, and master’s theses in accordance with the profile of the laboratory;

– providing assistance to postgraduate students and the staff of the Faculty of Geology in conducting research in the areas of scientific activity related to stratigraphic and paleontological research methods, the methodology of creating geological maps, space aeromethods, and the creation of stratigraphic and paleontological data banks;

– providing assistance to the research and teaching staff of the Faculty of Geology in conducting methodological and scientific seminars on disciplines related to research methods in accordance with the profile of the laboratory.
