Graduated from the Faculty of Geology at Ivan Franko Lviv State University (1999), specializing in “Geochemistry, Mineralogy, and Petrology” (Diploma of Higher Education LV VS No. 010018, June 24, 1999), and continued postgraduate studies in the specialty “Lithology” (04.00.21). Since then, he has worked in the Research Department as a junior researcher, research associate, and responsible executor of scientific topics. From 2004, he was an assistant at the Department of Petrology. In 2013, he defended his PhD thesis on “Lithology of Paleogene Deposits of the Skibova Zone of the Ukrainian Carpathians” (D 26.162.04), (PhD Diploma DK 018940, January 17, 2014). From 2014 to 2024, he was the Deputy Dean for Research at the Faculty of Geology, and in 2020, he temporarily held the position of Dean of the Faculty of Geology. Since 2019, he has worked as an Associate Professor at the Department of Mineralogy, Petrology, and Geochemistry (now the Department of Mineralogy, Petrology, and Geochemistry named after Professor Orest Matkovskyi) at Ivan Franko National University of Lviv. In 2022, he obtained the academic title of Associate Professor (Certificate AD No. 011372, December 23, 2022). In 2022, he completed international training at the University of Applied Sciences (Latvia, Riga), and in 2023, he undertook scientific training at the Institute of Geology and Geochemistry of Combustible Minerals, NAS of Ukraine (Lviv). He is the author of approximately 100 scientific works.

Since 2022, he has been the scientific supervisor of the research topic carried out within the working hours of faculty members, as well as research by doctoral students, postgraduates, and students of the Faculty of Geology: “Lithological-Petrographic Studies of the Genesis of Sedimentary, Magmatic, and Metamorphic Rock Complexes in the Western and Central Parts of Ukraine and the Problems of Their Genesis” (0122U002338).
