Valentuna Marusyak graduated from Ivan Franko National University of Lviv with a degree in geochemistry, mineralogy and petrography in 1999. From 1999 to 2002 she studied in inpatient graduate school.

From September 2002 to June 2015, Assistant Professor of Ecological and Engineering Geology and Hydrogeology. During this period, she taught courses: structural geology, basics of ecology, human ecology, ecological geology of Ukraine, methods of measuring NPS parameters, ecological management, ecological hydrogeology, ecological safety, methods of wastewater treatment, etc.

From September 2002 to June 2006 she worked part-time as the head of the Department of Geoecology at the College of Natural Sciences at the Ivan Franko National University of Lviv. During this period she conducted courses at the college: basics of ecology, environmental safety, environmental law, human ecology, environmental management, etc .

Since September 2015 affiliated as engineer of the Department of Ecological and Engineering Geology and Hydrogeology.

In 2021 defended her Ph.D. on the topic ‘Geology, mineral composition and genesis of hydrothermal mineralization from the Chyvchyny Ore District in the Ukrainian Carpathians’.
